Marie Curie Association has joined a new project e-CARE

Since 14-10-2019, Marie Curie Association, branch Smolyan has started to work on European project funded by Erasmus+ program entitle e-Care – Open and Distance Education for Palliative Care at Home.

The coordinator is Kirklareli university, Turkey and the other partners are:

  • Marie Curie Association, Bulgaria
  • APEC – Advanced Project Education Consulting, Turkey


The project aims to train adults (caregivers working at hospital or hospices, nursing & senior homes patient family members & relatives who care at home etc.) through distance education.
In almost 3 years time the partnership will develop the following outcomes:

  1. The curriculum of the course
  2. The modules of the course
  3. A digital platform
  4. Series of educational videos
  5. A guide book for trainers
  6. A guide book for trainees
